A wormhole that appeared by chance. What kind of surrealist dreams does a graceful corpse have in the grasslands of Musashino?

A massive mural themed around Surrealism has been installed on the store wall at Tokorozawa Sakura Town. Surrealism embraces the idea that “the chance encounter of disparate elements is beautiful.” Set in the Musashino region, the mural depicts an encounter—imbued with a sense of strangeness—between the works of renowned Surrealist artists such as Salvador Dalí, René Magritte, and Giorgio de Chirico, and the imaginative drawings created by children during the workshop "Exquisite Corpse" (French: Cadavre exquis). A closer look at the mural reveals numerous Tokorozawa-themed motifs—such as spinach, airplanes, Musashino udon, and grilled dango—interwoven with homages to the Surrealist masters.
