Amida Crossing in Snow

- Amida Crossing in Snow
- Year: 2025
- Place:Museum on Echigo-Tsumari(MonET), Niigata, Japan
The work "Amida Crossing" created for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2024 was developed as a site-specific piece that offers a three-dimensional experience of Leandro Erlich’s "Palimpsest: Sky Pond." "Snow Amida Crossing" is an interactive installation where the photographic pillar section of "Palimpsest: Sky Pond" becomes a snow maze, designed as the reverse version of "Amida Crossing." The work changes its mode with lighting at night. Snow Amida Crossing was the main piece of the interactive exhibition "Captain Monet and the Voyage Across the Great Snowfield." The exhibition was curated by Rintaro Hara and Yu Hara, and four new artists were invited to participate. The ship "Captain Monet's Ark" was created by Tatsushi Owa. Lighting design by LRF Inc.
