Hamada-river Village
- Hamada-river Village
- Material: bear pelt, matagi tool and material, wood, cutting sheet
- Year: 2022
- Place: Hamada Children's Museum of Art, Shimane, Japan
Water runs in the 25-meter-long “river” embedded in plywood. Along the river are dozens of sculptures based on Yu Hara’s illustrations – household items, buildings, animals – as well as functioning fountains, mills and Shishi-odoshi (a water-driven bamboo clapper) forming a village scape. Viewers are invited to make a boat with stylofoam and straws and set it adrift in the river.
